My thougts about breastfeeding .

I am a breastfeeding mom. I love breastfeeding because I enjoy it. There are not much reasons. I breastfed my older one up to 2 and half, second one up to 2. They never try formula or whole milk before I stopped. If I have a chance one more time, I would choose breastfeeding again.  

However, I really don't think  there will be much difference between my daughters and formula kids. I mean long run influence. ( Sorry Xiao Wu. I didn't mean to challenge you. Actually I like you very much.) Lots of experience could affect child in their life. It is hard to say breastfeeding is the best choice. It may not especially when the mom actually does not enjoy it and breastfeeding is becoming an unpleasant task or a torture. It is OK not to choose breastfeeding. Isn't it?

我是觉得，如果能比较同一个孩子母乳和非母乳的区别，似乎才更有说服力，而这恰恰是不可能完成的任务。

当然，我很同意你这点，当母乳已经不是一种享受而是一种煎熬的时候，我们妈妈们有权去主动中断它。

Yes. I am a big fan. Especially, when I read her article about "No need to push kids word-learning too early." That is a big challenge for Chinese parents. Believe me, I am a good case for her to use. My grade before mid-school was always the last two. My mom felt shameful about it.  I was a tough girl at that time. After 12, I loved studying and ever since I became an outstanding student even when I am in US graduate school, I am always the best. My husband is a good one since childhood. We don't feel there is any big distance between us except I likes challenges, he is a follower.  He admired me and hoped he could be a tough boy in childhood.

I agree with her most views. Only one concern, some moms are following her too strictly. Actually I feel she is a very flexible and open person. So I hope her followers can get her inside thoughts not only outsides.

关于母乳喂养的长期益处，以及配方奶喂养的长期弊端，已经有很多科学研究和数据，科学家们在数万个取样里比较了这两者的长期效应，得出很多结论来，不外乎就是母乳最好，奶粉有害。

你可以上网查一查。我也贴过一些，比如“母乳喂养的101个理由”，以及“配方奶喂养的风险”等等。

其实恰恰因为母乳喂养的长期好处，才令我不遗余力地宣扬。我的教育宗旨就是看远期效应，而不是急功近利地追求立竿见影的后果。

It is a surprise to get a response from you. Yes it is. I know breast milk is the best milk for babies and the bonding between moms and babies is very special and precious. I attended lots of breastfeeding courses and I had a breastfeeding consultant for my first daughter. only one thing: I am not sure about the long term effect. Maybe I should do more research and now I am very interested in how they run experiments to control the other effects in kids. Too complicated for me. Anyway, no matter what are the results, breastfeeding mom is great and the choice to breastfeeding is good.
